The Texense Pitot sensor is a Pitot tube with built-in electronics delivering a signal output of 0 to 5V.
This sensor is used for measuring air speed by integrating dynamic and static pressures.
Features :
| Range | 10 to 100 mB |
| Specifications | Piezo cell + stainless steel tube with 6 or 4 mm diameter |
| Output | Analogue 0 to 5V linear |
| Power supply | 5 to 16V |
| Consumption | Max 2 mA |
| Dimensions | 28 x 22 x 15mm (PI6) 25 x 22 x15mm (PI4) |
This measurement combined with load measurement (please refer to our document "Strain gauge bonding + amplifiers) enables vehicle aerodynamics to be enhanced.
The 4mm model is a very light and easily integrated sensor.
For the 6mm version we've maintained the option of being able to vary the height of the tube from 130 to 300mm.
The measuring range of 10 to 76mb means that all applications for racing vehicles are covered ( IRL, Nascar, Formula1, GP2, Formula3,...) as well as certain phases where lower speeds are involved (car and motorbike preparation and settings...)
