New texense® THNF4C high sampling rate multichannel digital conditioner for thermocouple probes

Texys International, French leader in high performance embedded testing sensors, is proud to announce the release of THNF4C, the new version of its well-known 4 ways thermocouple Amplifier for CAN bus.

The development which is now completed was essentially focused on the conditioner performance, particularly on the sampling frequency with a maximum rate at 250 Hz/ channel (lower frequencies available: 1, 10, 50 or 100 Hz/ channel).

This major performance evolution led to redesign the housing, which remains still very compact (93x16x22mm).

As per the previous version, the supply voltage is 12V and any type of junction is available, B, K, J, T…. as well as different temperature ranges (from -20/+120°C up to 0/+1250°C).

As most of our CAN based sensors or conditioners, THNF4C is programmable: IDs, Baudrate, Emission Frequency, units can be easily changed either in using a CAN software tool (CANalyser or equivalent) or in using our new user-friendly interface texense® Android Smart Tool (tAST®).

The product is designed for embedded testing application as well as for tests bench purposes: in line compact housing and optimal cold junction compensation from – 20°C to + 125°C ambient temperature.

The new THNF4C conditioner, which replaces now previous THNx4-CAN, is a logical step of our expertise in miniaturized sensors dedicated to embedded testing in harsh environment and when space is limited.

New miniature strain gauge amplifier XN4

Texys is constantly improving its range of products and is releasing after monthes of developments and tests , the miniature strain gauge amplifier XN4 to replace our successfull XN3.

The new XN4 is a PCB analog strain gauge amplifier, with high resolution and high speed, with offset and gain adjusted by microcontroller. Although we managed to keep the same PCB size as the XN3, we have added features thanks to customers remarks and demands.

The XN4 has a communication port to a computer (with the Texense USB connect) with new possibilites, keyboard entry for gain, offset and sensitivity compensation factor. You can also program Gain and Offset even if XN4 is not linked to Strain Gauges. This product give a programmable offset in mV and Gain in 1/10 (Gain from 70 to 1250) with an offset value from 0 to 5v. There is no need to apply a force to program a Gain. Output signal can increase or decrease under load. We improved product's specificities with a working temperature from -20°C to +125°C. Because of its small size, XN4 may be bonded close to the gauges, which will reduce noise on the signal. In the same time, temperature compensation is now in time basis, from 2 to 12 hours, and compensation table values can be edited. This new version of XN4 is now available so don't hesitate to contact us.
